Another great episode. Your adaptive writing strikes just the right note, Phil and Heather remain a terrific duo, and your editing is impeccable.

I also want to praise Karley's performance, as she switched moods perfectly between "funny PMS" and "cute as a button". The boar sounds also mixed with her dialogue in hilarious ways.

I have to say that I am really hooked on this. Fruits Basket was the second anime I ever watched, so I have some deep running affection for it. The dialogue is witty and touching, and thankfully, not to the point of nausea as the anime was at moments. The voice actors really bring out the essence of each character. I never realized I could be as drawn to this medium as I've become(radio dramas/audio stories, etc). Thanks for converting a great anime story into a wonderful radio drama-- you've opened a new world of entertainment media for me with this clever, vibrant, and addictive adaptation. Thank you, thank you, thank you. <3

I don't want to be mean, but I think you are falling too much into the trap of telling instead of showing. Yes, this isn't a visual medium. But you still don't need to have an aside explaining everything the characters are feeling. We know how Tohru feels about Kyo, for example. We know she's trying to get Ryo to open up by her actions. We don't need to be told.

BTW, you might consider giving Tohru a diary, or having that guy at the front narrate a bit, so that you have something framing all this, so the narration (what the asides really are) seems less out of place.

This is excellent work, but I can tell you are new to this sort of thing, so I thought a few pointers might help. I've listened to a lot of radio theater.

I sort of agree with the comment above, except that the character of Tohru was kind of written as an expository avatar for the audience in a lot of ways in the original source material, so it doesn't feel weird that she does that in this radio drama. One way of getting around this is having her talk to her dead mother, which she does a lot anyway.
