This episode is so sad ;.;. Although I see what you mean about the makeout scene sounding awkward. But II'm so glad you did this series, this is my introduction into Fruits Basket, but I don't want to read the manga or watch the anime because I feel it would spoil this. Dilligently waiting for the next installment.

Ho~leee shit ...

I had heard that Fruits Basket got dark, but I was not expecting for my skin to start crawling and my blood to run cold during the course of this story.

The blood probably started running cold because my damn skin crawled away ... *sneezes* CHRIST! I'm falling victim to that anime trope of catching a cold by being cold! IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY! ... or maybe its because I don't have skin anymore ...

Strange joking aside, best show yet on all fronts! It affected me greatly, and I appreciate that ♥. Looking forward to future episodes!

I loved Kana!!!

The make-out sounds were weird...I was especially confused because when I first heard them it sounded like dripping, and the BOOM afterwards sounded like a sliding door-thingy opening.

Yeah, I don't know.

THIS EPISODE WAS LONG!!! And awesome. Poor Hatori! I LOVE YOU.

I simply had to comment on this episode.
I'm a long-time fan of the manga (not so much the anime), and I've been eagerly downloading the episodes as you post them. Perfect for the bus ride to uni!

This episode hit the mark emotionally- it managed to make me feel quite sad, and even a little creeped out at Akito's reactions.

You guys are doing an amazing job! Bravo. :)

Yet another brilliant and entertaining episode...but so so heavy...I'd forgotten just how depressing Hatori's story was in the manga. If not for the bits with Ayame and Shigure, this would have pretty much just been a downer, so thank God for them.

That being said, I thought it was really beautiful and moving--like hearing the whole story for the first time again. Akito's VA seems to be growing--I loved their performance here, and the mixing in the blinding scene was particularly well done (the FX, Shigure, et. al.) I'm really excited for the coming chapters...particularly 16, which your plug on twitter convinced me to re-read. Man, what foreshadowing so early in the story--I'd totally forgotten. Knowing what happens actually makes it funny, because the characters' relative situation seems so obvious in hindsight. Your take on it will be intriguing, to say the least. There's going to be a bit of a show-down between Shigure and Hatori, and I'm itching for it.

;_; Hatori's story never fails to make me cry, but dammit, this was fantastic. The extra scenes with Hatori and Kana were great.

Akito is a nutcase. He's controlling and emotionally abusive. What is HAPPENING in this family!? No WONDER Shigure hates Akito so much!

I really hope you continue these. I actually treasure these and listen to my fav episodes over and over (jogging, going to sleep, studying). I love Shigure's voice work. Every line has such great contouring and technique. Your script writing makes this easy and pleasant to follow. At this point, the music has become nostalgic to me. I listen to this that much! My hope is that you're on a well deserved break, but that you and the voice actors return with more! =)

I loved the extra scenes that described how Akito would look in his room and hearing the nervousness in Hatori's voice as he tried to prepare to ask Akito if he could marry. It was such a chilling scene and I was even more freaked out because I knew what was going to happen...it was downright scary!!! lol. I loved it. Really fantastic job, this was absolutely terrific.
